Sir, If any of your readers have been involved with aspects of filmmaking for Concern or knows someone who over the years has been, then they might prove of great assistance to Ireland's largest aid agency.
In 2008, Concern marks its 40 years of compassionate outreach to those most in need throughout the world.

Over the years, Concern has documented the work of our organisation, primarily in Bangladesh, Africa and Cambodia, and our volunteers through
a series of films. The films serve to educate and enlighten the people of Ireland to the plight of those in need.

During this 40th anniversary year, Concern, in association with the Irish Film Archive of the Irish Film Institute, will attempt to gather together these filmed documents so that a comprehensive record of this aspect of Irish Aid can be preserved and made accessible to all interested parties.

We are eager to identify and acquire these films – whether of a professional or amateur nature and so are seeking your help. Have you or has someone you know been involved with Concern's filmmaking over the years? We are looking for any film record of Concern's work between 1968 and the present day. That includes any film or tape format, be it Super 8, 16mm or video. If you have material that you think might be of help to us, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can discuss acquisition and preservation of this valuable material.

Yours,
Tom Arnold,
CEO,
Concern
