Dromara 1
Ballyclare Comrades 1
DROMARA took on a big and physical Ballyclare side in a match which could have went either way.
Both teams took time to settle with most of the action being played in midfield with neither defence being really tested.
After about 15 minutes Dromara
started to move play out to the wings with Stevens and Glass linking up well with Cardosi and Milligan.
But on the occasions that the ball found its way into the box there was no end product from the Dromara team.
At the other end the defence of Kerr, Milligan, Boyce and Scott were doing well to snuff out the Ballyclare attack. Just before the break the Comrades forward broke clear but keeper Ross Bingham was equal to the task and pulled off a superb save.
The second half started with Comrades on top and it was no surprise they took the lead five mins after the break when a cross into the box found the Dromara defence sleeping and the forward made no mistake.
This was the wake up call Dromara needed and they started to come back into the game. Ten minutes after going behind Domara were back on level terms. A free kick into comrades box was cleared back out to Jack Milligan and with the Ballyclare defence coming out, he played a superb ball through the middle for Steven Adair to run onto and coolly slotted the ball past the keeper.
The last ten minutes was end to end with Cardosi nearly scoring for Dromara and Boyce and Kerr doing well to clear chances from Ballyclare. In the end both managers would have been happy with a point from a game which proved very entertaining.
Training continues every Wed night at the clubhouse from 6.15-7.15pm. New players will be made welcome.
