AT an Open Show by Banbridge Bantam Club in 1969, one Derek Hanna won nine firsts, seven seconds and five thirds.
He also won the Hanna Cup for best young bird, the Quinn cup for best OEG female, the Heather Shield for best black or blue, the Melmore Cup for best OEG male and the Ulster Poultry Challenge Cup for best old English game bantam in show. Meanwhile, Joe Murphy and Sons won eight firsts five seconds and four thirds.

They also won best muff in show and best sprangle in show.

Joe Topley took three firsts, five seconds and one third.

There were almost 300 entries and the judges were from England.
