The best of luck to the representatives of Buncrana Tidy Towns who will take part in the LAMA award ceremony in the City West Hotel tomorrow.
They are shortlisted for Best Use of External Communications award.The awards are hosted by Miriam O'Callaghan and they will be presented by John Gormley, Minister for the Environment.
The pantomime 'Ali Baba' is continuing in St. Mary's Hall until
31st January. The booking office is open from Mondays - Saturdays at 12 - 2 p.m. and 5 - 7 p.m. Telephone 086 2072496 or 086 2072497. It is advisable to book early.
The second week of Buncrana GAA indoor circuit training for seniors will be held in the Youth Club tomorrow at 6 p.m. sharp. Everyone is welcome to attend this part of the club's pre-season training as either a player in preparation for the coming season or as a non-player to improve your general fitness. A nominal charge of 2 euro per session will apply.
A senior Executive Board meeting will take place on Thursday 29th of January at 8 p.m. in The Scarvey. All senior board members are urged to attend. Weight Watchers has already begun for 2009 in the clubhouse at The Scarvey - Tuesday Nights and Wednesday mornings. Class times are - Tuesday nights 5.15 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. and everyone should be finished and gone by 7.45 p.m.. Wednesday morning 10 a.m. with everyone finished and gone by 11.15 a.m..

The Illies Hall is holding Line Dancing every Wednesday from 8 - 10 p.m. Adults 5 euro, Youths 2.50 euro.
The weekly Sunday dance in the Plaza will now begin at 9 p.m. and continue until 11.30 p.m. Music by The Country Boys and all styles of dancing will be catered for. Also Jive classes continue in the Plaza on Monday nights from 8 - 9.15 p.m.
Cuban Salsa classes started yesterday from 8 - 9.30 p.m.. This is an eight week course and the fee is 75 euro. No partner is required! To book telephone 087 09004411.
If you want to grab a bargain, then come along to the Indoor Market at the Plaza every Saturday from 11 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. or maybe you would like to make a few euro. Tables are provided for 10 euro at 10 a.m. on the day.
At Buncrana Leisure Centre, you can have a free Sauna or Steam with every swim or gym and there is 20% off annual membership and the fitness test until 31st January. There is also Aquafit every Wednesday at 8 p.m. Come along and support your Leisure Centre. Also in the Leisure Centre you can attend Beginners' Pilates class which have now started on Wednesdays at 7.30 p.m. Beginners Men's Pilates also on Wednesday at 8.30 p.m. Level Two Pilates course on Mondays at 7 p.m. and Level One Pilates on Mondays at 8 p.m. To book any of these courses contact Clare, telephone 9362723.
Boxercise classes are held in the Leisure Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30p.m. for both male and female. Telephone Dan, 087 7773323 or 086 0534476 for details. Juvenile Athletics has started in the Buncrana Leisure Centre on Wednesdays at 7p.m. for children aged 8 years or over.
Also in the Leisure Centre - STEP on Wednesdays at 6.30 p.m. Thursdays 'Below the belt' weigh-in and work-out, weight loss on Thursdays at 8 p.m. and STEP (beginners/improvers) on Fridays at 7 p.m. No need to book, just come along on the night.
The Inishowen's Athletics' Club trains on Wednesday in the Leisure Centre at 7p.m. for children 8 years and over.
Aquafit classes are also held in the Leisure Centre every Wednesday at 8p.m. ages 16+. No swimming ability is required and all are welcome.

Kids Karate Thursday at 6 -7 p.m. and Saturday at 11a.m.- 12 noon.
There is child minding facilities on request, shower/ changing facilities, free parking, nutritional advice. Also small groups one to one catered for. There is also personal training and professional instructors.
