Scoil Mhuire has been shortlisted for an 'AIB Better Ireland Award' and is in contention for a prize of 10,000 euro from the local AIB branch. The winner will be selected by public text voting and to vote for Scoil Mhuire you can text Buncrana C to 53099 before Friday 6th June. Each text costs only 60 cents.The proceeds generated by the text voting for Scoil Mhuire will be donated to the school and will go towards upgrading educational and leisure facilities for the students.
There will be a 2.5 mile, run/walk up Scalp Mountain tomorrow organised by local Concern volunteers. A day of meditation will take place tomorrow at 5 St Mary's Road in Buncrana from 10am-4pm. The day will introduce a variety of meditation practices to relax the body, still the mind, accept feelings and centre us in a place of inner wisdom. Buncrana Senior Citizens' Commitee is urgently looking for voluntary drivers for the meals-on-wheels service. Meals are delivered on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
