Information evening on the Lisbon Treaty

An information evening on the Lisbon Treaty will be held in the Buncrana Community Library next Tuesday, 3rd June at 7 p.
Colr. Padraig McLochlainn and Joe McHugh TD will be in attendance to answer all your questions. Telephone 9361941 for further details.
Scoil Mhuire has been shortlisted for an 'AIB Better Ireland Award' and is in contention for a prize of 10,000 eur
o from the local AIB branch. The winner will be selected by public text voting and to vote for Scoil Mhuire you can text Buncrana C to 53099 before Friday 6th June. Each text costs only 60 cents.The proceeds generated by the text voting for Scoil Mhuire will be donated to the school and will go towards upgrading educational and leisure facilities for the students.
There will be a 2.5 mile, run/walk up Scalp Mountain tomorrow organised by local Concern volunteers. Runners and walkers may register tomorrow from 11 a.m. at Henry McLaughlin's farmyard and the race, organised in association with Foyle Valley AC starts at 12 noon. i.C.A.R.E. is hosting an 80s Fancy Dress Disco in the Laurentic Bar in Desertegney tonight at 9 p.m. There will be great prizes and a mini quiz. A day of meditation will take place tomorrow at 5 St Mary's Road in Buncrana from 10am-4pm. The day will introduce a variety of meditation practices to relax the body, still the mind, accept feelings and centre us in a place of inner wisdom. The day will be facilitated by Noel Bradley and Julie Brown, both experienced in meditation and will cost 40 euro. Booking is essential and a light lunch will be provided. Buncrana Senior Citizens' Commitee is urgently looking for voluntary drivers for the meals-on-wheels service. Meals are delivered on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Drivers are especially needed for Sundays. It only takes approximately an hour and a half and drivers are on an eight week rota system. Please contact Jim Henderson, 9361666

The Inishowen Athletics' Club trains on Wednesdays in the Leisure Centre at 7 p.m. for children 8 years and over.
Aquafit classes are also held in the Leisure Centre every Wednedsay at 8 p.m. ages 16+. No swimming ability is required and all welcome.

Indoor hurling training for 6 - 10 year olds will be held in the gym at Crana College on Sundays at 11 a.m.
In the Buncrana GAA the under 10 training will not be held tonight because of the Ball but will be back on the following Friday.
Under 18 and senior training is on Tuesday and Thursdays at 7.15.
