Francis O'Donnell, who has been Sacristan in St. Mary's Church, Cockhill for the past 37 years will retire as he celebrates his 75 birthday next Monday.
Francis has served under three Parish Priests and has been associated with twenty one curates. Mass will be offered this evening at 7.30 p.m. in Cockhill for his intentions and all parishioners are welcome to attend this celebration.

A charity concert fesaturing many of Ireland's leading traditional singers, dancers and musicians will be held tonight in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel at 8.30 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the compere is Jimmy McBride. Tickets are 10 euro and all proceeds will go to the Irish language pre-school, An Naionra Gaelach.
Buncrana Hearts F.C. Annual dinner dance will take place tonight in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel. The meal will be served at 8 p.m. sharp and the music is by McArthur Park.
Jimmy McBride will give a public presentation on the Life and Times of Cahir O'Dochartaigh at the Buncrana Library on January 20th at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome and entry is free. This event has been organised by the local Heritage and History Group.

Buncrana GAA indoor circuit training for seniors will be starting in the Youth Club on Saturday, 17th January at 6pm sharp. Everyone is welcome to attend this part of the club's pre-season training as either a player in preparation for the coming season or as a non-player to improve your general fitness.
