Fr. Eddie McGuinness will fast on 'Good Friday'. Sponsorship cards are now available in the three Sacristies and in the porch in St. Mary's Oratory, from Fr. Eddie and in the Parish Office.
He needs new co-fasters and sponsors so if you would like to do something worthwhile this Easter then get your sponsor card right away and keep him company.
The Easter Commemorations will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cockhill this Sunday, 23r
d. The speaker at this year's commemoration will be Raymond McCartney, MLA. Those taking part will assemble at Cockhill Park at 12 noon for the march to the cemetery.
Volunteers are wanted for the Ar Ais Aris 2008 Festival which will take place in Buncrana at the end of March. Help is needed for moving chairs, putting up posters and helping in the festival office, etc. Please contact Louise 086 8829019 or email: info@buncranatradfest.com.
The Irish Cancer Society would like to thank all who helped make Daffodil Day such a success. The sum of 5,670 euro was raised.
The Clonmany N.S. Parents' Association is holding a 'Golden Oldies Disco' in the Ballyliffin Hotel tomorrow. Dancing is from 11 p.m. till late. Admission is 8 euro and all welcome.
The Mayor, Paul Bradley with the co-operation of the town council is organising a Mayor's Ball which will be held on Saturday, 19th April in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel. There will be a champagne reception followed by a gala dinner. Tickets are 50 euro each or for a table of ten, 500 euro. All proceeds will go to local charities. Planning is at an advanced stage for the G.A.A. May Ball and Banquet to be held in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel on 9th May This promises to be the social event of the summer and already there is massive interest in tickets. A number of exciting extras are planned and there is sure to be a prize for everyone. Buncrana Senior Citizens' committee is presently making application to the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs for grants to install monitored telephone alarms in the homes of the elderly over 65 years of age. Contact 9361666 for details.

Indoor hurling training for 6 - 10 year olds will be held in the gym at Crana College on Sundays at 11 a.m.
In the GAA 10,000 euro draw held in O'Flaherty's Bar last Tuesday 11th the numbers drawn were 11, 13, 15, 30 - no winner. In the lotto plus the numbers were 5, 6, 16, 25 - no winner so the lotto plus goes up to 4,765 euro.
