A cancer walk in aid of the Alan Doherty Fund will take place on Sunday the 18th May at 3 p.m. leaving St. Mary's Hall, Clonmany travelling via Binion Tullagh Rusty Nail and back to the Hall for refreshments. The death has occurred in Cornwall, England of Herbert McEldowney, formerly Glack, Culdaff. He was 84 years of age and is survived by his wife Beryl and son Glenn and family in Australia, daughter Susan and family in the USA, also his sister Ruby Carlisle, Lisburn. Sympathy is extended to his many nephews and nieces and his sister Ruby.
Deep regret was occasioned by the death last week of Margaret Doherty formerly of Claggan, Culdaff after a long life of service in nursing. Sympathy is offered to her sisters May and An. Her brothers Benny and Eddie and the wider family circle. May she rest in peace.

At the Carndonagh Community School a parent's meeting on the 8th April has agreed that the Parents Group for the parish would raise funds for the Community School by way of a voluntary envelope donation from parents who have children at the school.
