This week's Friday's Child is Matt Doherty, who works as Business Development Manager at the City Hotel in Derry. He has worked in hotels for 10 years now and is enjoying telling people about the, in his words, "Exciting transformation the City Hotel has just completed!" How would you describe yourself?
Friendly, good humoured and outgoing.

Happiest childhood memory?
Getting my wee pet dog Sandy when I was 7.

Who was your childhood hero?
My Dad....unfortunately I didn't get to see him play for Derry City FC
.

What was your first job?
Learning a trade in the Training Centre in Springtown.

Favourite book?
'A Brief History of Time', by Stephen Hawking...fascinating read.

Favourite film?
Has to be Star Wars, it was way ahead of its time and still looks good today.

Favourite television programme?
Top Gear or F1.

Favourite expression?
Whose round is it?

Favourite food/drink?
Food – Japanese Teppenyaki/ Drink – Having a good glass of Red Wine in the lobby of the City Hotel.

Favourite method of relaxation?
Watching my favourite TV programmes.

Favourite holiday destination?
So far it's been Sardinia and Florida, but I have a few more places I'd like to explore!

Who would you most like to meet?
Alive – Michael Schumacher/Deceased - Elvis.

What makes you happy?
Seeing friends and family happy.

What makes you angry?
Injustice.

What is the human quality you most admire?
Compassion.

What is the human quality you least admire?
Insincerity.

What was the worst thing to happen to you in your life?
Having both parents in hospital seriously ill at the same time.

What is your greatest fear?
SHARKS!! Anytime I am swimming in deep water my mind starts to play the Theme tune from Jaws!

What has been the high point of your life to date?
Getting married to my beautiful wife, Oonagh.

How would you like to be remembered?
As someone who cared about people.

What is your most treasured possession?
Family.

If you won the lotto, what would you do with it?
Have a big party in the City Hotel, buy a Ferrari, a holiday home on a tropical beach and of course take care of family, friends and local charities.

If you could be granted one wish in life, what would you ask for?
