Dungiven 'X Factor' star Eoghan Quigg is preparing for a summer run of gigs at the popular Butlins holiday camp.
The 16-year-old has several performances lined up in July including dates at Skegness and Bognor Regis, the resort confirmed.

The teenager recently finished a tour with Irish hit band Boyzone, and is also preparing for his first solo gig at the Ul
ster Hall.

Derry mum Shannon Healy said she was delighted to hear that Eoghan Quigg would be performing in Skegness during their holiday in Butlins.

"My daughters Tara (6) and Lucy (5) were over the moon when we told them they'd see Eoghan Quigg on their holidays," she said.

"They watched Eoghan every week on the ‘X Factor’ and loved him.

"When Eoghan did his big performance at the Guildhall we couldn't get down because the crowds were so huge.

“Now on Friday they'll have a chance to see him perform properly,” she said.

"We had no idea when we booked the holiday that Eoghan would be performing in Skegness. It's great for him."

In the meantime, the Dungiven lad will be back home tonight where he will meet Limavady Borough Mayor Cathal OhOisin and other councillors for a civic reception.

During his run on the ‘X Factor’, the spiky-haired teen amassed thousands of fans with local councillors hailing him an “ambassador” for the borough.
