Plans for 83 new social housing units at Springtown have been revealed.
The proposal to build the new homes on a 7.7 acre site has been lodged at Derry’s planning office by local firm, Grey Hollows Developments Ltd.

The social housing, a mix of single and two storey dwellings, is to be built on agricultural land adjacent to Hawthorn Grove and Hawthorn Drive. The plan includes provision for a community focal point and supervised open space in the development. The estate will be accessed from Springtown Road.

“The development will provide much-needed additional social housing in the area,” the applicant stated in the application.
