Staff and pupils of the school said they were dismayed after discovering the break-in at the school on Monday morning.

Its believed the robbery occurred at 7 a.m. on Saturday morning when a lone intruder broke into St Brigid’s College and caused severe damage to ICT resources in a number of classrooms, including interactive white boards and projectors. The intruder also took a laptop computer before making his escape and was captured on the security cameras, which are being examined by police.

A clean-up operation began immediately the break-in was discovered, and the school operated normally on Monday morning.

The school said pupils who saw the damage were dismayed at the destruction the vandal caused and were anxious to get involved in the clean-up operation.
