Station Mass will be held to-night Friday 20th March in the home of Nigel and Celia Doherty, Slieveban, Malin Head at 8pm and Saturday 28th March in the home of Kathy Mc Colgan, Bunn at 9.30am.
A great new bus services have been announced by Inishowen Rural Transport at the Inishowen Development Partnership. A bus will leave Inishowen every Monday at 6am to arrive in Letterkenny in time to connect with buses going to Dublin at 7am. It is hoped this will facilitate students and others who travel to Dublin regularly. A bus will also leave from Letterkenny to Inishowen between 8pm and 9pm (approx) on Monday and again on Friday evening. It is anticipated this will suit students returning home from college for the weekend. Booking is essential. A social in aid of Donegal Hospice will take place in Hillhead Church Hall, Carndonagh on Friday March 27th. Music is by the Country Boys. Tickets are 6euro including supper. Dancing is from 10pm-2am.
Host families in Inishowen are being sought to give children from Chernobyl a three week holiday in July. Do you think you could give a child from Chernobyl a recuperating holiday? Weekly activities are organised and translators are available at all times. To take a child out of a contaminated area even for a week can boost their immune system up to one year. The Parish is organizing a pilgrimage to Fatima from 18th-25th June 2009. If anyone is interested please contact Fr. Crowley. This pilgrimage presents an opportunity to visit Fatima for three days and the city of Lisbon the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua and will also include four days in the Estoril seaside resort. The cost is 809euro for flights, meals and transfers for 7 nights/8days. A savings scheme will begin soon. Those who wish to go on the pilgrimage needs to confirm their place with a 50euro deposit as soon as possible to confirm booking.
Women's competitive football has resumed on Wednesdays at 8pm and on Saturdays at 6pm at the GAA club. Training for U14 girls takes place every Wednesday between 5pm and 6pm.
