Moville Community Alcohol project is looking to set up a Youth Club in the town for 13 to 18 year olds.
It will involve young people deciding what activities they would like and a mixed group of adults and young people would then help them organise it. There will be an information evening for adults on Tuesday 8th April in St Eugene's Hall at 7.30pm.
Donegal County Councillor Marian McDonald has called on all residents in the Moville and surrounding areas to get involved in this year's National Spring Clean which will take place on Saturday 12th April. Once again the clean up kits will contain colour coded bags, gloves, pickers and skips will be provided. All volunteers of all ages are welcome, residents and visitors, meeting up in the car park at the Green at 11am. Regular clean-ups will be held throughout the year so we need all the volunteers we can get.
At the March meeting of the ICA it was decided that as this is the Jubilee year of the Moville Guild, an extra special celebration should be organised . The winner of the raffle was Susanna Farren. Competition winner for the handmade St Patrick's Day card was Linda McLaughlin. Anna Connolly gave a report on a sponsored course given by FBD Insurance in An Grianan. Each county was represented by one member of each Federation. Elizabeth Bredan/Doherty gave a very interesting demonstration on hand-made cards for all occasions. A delicious supper was provided by Eileen Gormley and Mary Doherty.
There was a large turnout for the Arts and Crafts exhibition which was held in Serenity House, Moville on the 17th and 18th March. The display of arts and crafts showed the high standard provided by the different groups attending the Learning Centre also making the public aware of what can be achieved by attending different courses which takes place on a regular basis.
A trip is being organised for a weekend break in Scotland to visit the Highland shows and day trip to Edinburgh city which will take place from the 20th to 22nd June. Price per person sharing is 180 sterling or 250 euro. Children under 11 110 sterling or 150 euro. 50 sterling deposit will secure a seat. The Book Club will meet in Serenity House on Tuesday 8th April at 7.30pm. The book for this month is "A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian" by Marian Lewycka. All are welcome.

A sponsored walk is being organised in aid of St Luke's Hospital, Dublin and the Day Care Unit of the Oncology Ward in Letterkenny General Hospital. Memorabilia wanted. The Greencastle Regatta Committee wish to invite anyone that may have photographs or memorabilia of the past Greencastle Regattas to please allow a copy to be taken or item to be loaned for display at the Maritime Museum over the 2008 Regatta.
