Deepest sympathy is extended to Mura McLaughlin, Kilderry, Muff on the sudden death of his brother Jimmy, Glasmullin, Drumfries.
Jimmy who was in his 51st year was originally from Letter, Fahan is survived by his wife Mary Bridget; his son, Hugh and James; daughters, Gemma, Evelyn, Bernadette and Katie; his brothers Paddy, Mura, Denis; sisters, Elizabeth Lynch, Sinead McGonag
le and Kathleen Doherty; and his mother Eileen. To all these deepest sympathy is extended. He was predeceased by his father Sonny some years ago and his brother Hugo 28 years ago. Requiem Mass was celebrated by Fr. McGoldrick in St. Mura's Church, Fahan. Burial took place in the adjoining graveyard. Jimmy was a very popular person and was very well known around the Peninsula. His funeral was one of the largest seen in Fahan, evidence of the high regard in which he was held. May he rest in peace.

Church Gate collection next weekend by the Youth Choir CD Group to help alleviate costs in the production of a CD. All sponsorship would be welcomed by the group.
Donegal Action for Cancer Care are holding a meeting in McClures, Bridge Street, Carndonagh on Monday, 2nd February at 7.30 p.m.
The wedding took place recently in St. Mura's Church, Fahan of Shane Doherty, son of Packie and Sadie Doherty, Redcastle and Charleen Doherty, daughter of Michael and Martina Doherty, Fahan. The bestman was Sean Douglas and the groomsman was John Paul Farren both friends of the groom. The bride was assisted by Nicola Doherty, sister of the groom and Gemma Doherty, sister of the bride. The flower girls were Kaoirse Doherty and Kayla McKinney and the page boy was Michael McKinney. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr. McGoldrick and the music in the Church was supplied by Maria Doherty. The reception was held in the Ballyliffin Hotel and the honeymoon was spent in New York.
There will be a meeting of the Inishowen Diabetes Support Group next Wednesday, February 4th at 8pm in Carndonagh Hospital. The Diabetes Federation of Ireland is running a CODE (Community Orientated Diabetes Education) Programme Type 2 Diabetes starting in March.
The Federation is carrying the cost of this course and it will run simultaneously in Letterkenny and involve 5 daytime sessions. The facilitator will be Anne Mullan, Western Regional Officer, Diabetes Federation of Ireland and more details about the course will be available at next week's meeting.
The recent Church Gate collection for the Epilepsy Association amounted to 217 euro and £17.50. A big thank you to all who contributed.
