Participants are required for the Action Inishowen FAS sponsored Community Employment scheme that will commence shortly. The scheme has been in existence for over twelve years and in that time, a lot of valuable work has been done both in the community and for the community. Long term unemployed people have been employed by Action Inishowen - they receive valuable training and work experience and do very rewarding work. There will be vacancies for the following on the new scheme: an administrator, front office workers, environmental workers, caretakers/cleaners, installers, minibus drivers and bus attendants. All the vacancies are open to both male and female workers and are subject tot he usual FAS conditions. Inishowen Development Partnership is currently recruiting participants for its new project IDOL. This project aims to provide ICT skills to older people living in rural areas in Inishowen by offering them free training in their own homes. Initially, the course content is for beginners which includes basic computer operations, letter writing, Microsoft Word, Internet, e-mail and mobile phone usage etc to people per group for 2 hours per week.
