The whole community was saddened last week at the untimely death of Maureen O'Connor, Tromaty, Quigley's Point.
Maureen who was only twenty-nine years old died at the home of her parents Colm and Susan Coyle after a lengthy illness. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter who leaves behind three young children: Louise, May and Kevin. Maureen never complai
ned and fought her illness bravely for three years. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her.

Huge numbers of mourners from near and far called to the house to pay their respects. Requiem Mass took place in St. Columb's Church, Drung and was celebrated by Fr. Farren, Fr. Mailey and Fr. Morris. There were as many people standing outside the Church as were inside. Maureen's friend Tracey and cousin Louise read the lessons while the beautiful music and singing was rendered by Neil McLaughlin. Internment took place in the adjoining cemetery.

Deepest sympathy is offered to Maureen's husband Kevin, to her children Louise, Amy and Kevin, to her parents Colm and Susan, sisters Kathleen, Suzanne and Annemarie, her brother Martin, to her father and mother-in-law Pat and Kathleen and family, a very wide family circle and many friends.
