The 37th Annual General Meeting of the Buncrana Credit Union will be held in the Lake of Shadows Hotel next Monday, 28th at 8.30 p.m.
There are three vacancies on the Board of Directors and two vacancies on the Supervisory Committee and nominations must be in writing and signed by both the proposer and seconder who both must be members of the Credit Union. You also must be over 18
years. Nomination forms are available from the office and completed forms must be in the office by 5.30 p.m. today.
Fr. Eddie's Christmas Fast has raised 30,000 euro - so far!
The St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Sunday, 16th March at 3 p.m. For further information contact the Chamber of commerce, 9321720.
The Scoil Mhuire Transition Year students 'Pin Pals' are currently looking for old or broken jewellery for their mini company. They would be very grateful for any donations which can be left in the office in Scoil Mhuire.
The Country Market will be held tomorrow in the Church Hall, Church Street from 2 - 3 p.m.
The timetable for the coming months at the Natural Health Centre, Millfield, Buncrana is as follows: Tae-Bo (Martial Arts Aerobic Class) male and female both welcome every Tuesday and Thursday @ 7pm – 8pm, Abdominal Class (1/2 hour training concentrating on the stomach area) Tuesday and Thursday 8pm – 8.30pm, Beginner Pilates (Advanced practitioners, and those who have completed previous courses, also welcome and catered for), Starts Wednesday 30th Jan at 8 pm - booking essential for this course. Zen Dao Karate Martial Arts (includes "Zen Dao Original Oriental Boxing" and Kick Boxing) beginners welcome and advanced practitioners from other styles who wish to improve punching and kicking power also welcome. Beginners will learn how to produce a KO with either hand or foot for self-defence. Adult Classes - every Tuesday and Thursday @ 8.30pm. -10pm, ZenDao Karate for children 6 years to under 16 years every Thursday 6pm – 7pm and every Saturday @ 11am – 12 beginners welcome. Buncrana Senior Citizens' committee is presently making applicaiton to the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs for grants to install monitored telephone alarms in the homes of the elderly over 65 years of age. Contact 9361666 for details.
If you are caring for an older person and would like information regarding entitlements, respite, cupport groups and other support services, Diane Donnelly, Carers Develoipment Officer will be holding a Drop-in Clinic in the Buncrana Nursing Unit on Tuesday, 29th January from 12 - 2 p.m.
A Mother and Toddler Group is held every Wednesday in Wain's World from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
WeightWatchers-Buncrana will be held in the Lake of Shadows Hotel on Tuesdays (you can enter by the side door). The first class is held at 5.15 p.m., the second class at 6.30 p.m. and the third class is at 7.45 p.m. New members are very welcome.
An Intermediate Pilates course has started in the Leisure Centre, and a Beginners Pilates course will start on Wednesday, 16th at 8 p.m. Telephone Claire, 9362723 for details.
The Inishowen Athletics' Club has now started juvenile training on Wednesdays in the Leisure Centre at 7 p.m. for children 8 years and over.
Aquafit classes are also held in the Leisure Centre every Wednedsay at 8 p.m. ages 16+. No swimming ability is required and all welcome.

A Below the Belt Weigh-in-'n Work-out for males and females will be held every Monday in Cockhill School at 8.30 p.m. all welcome..
A Free Counselling Service is now available through your doctor at the Buncrana Medical Centre with a B.A.C.P. Trained Counsellor. If you suffer from anxiety, panic attacks, depression, bereavement, stress, phobias, low self esteem or lack direction in life or have relationship problems then this is the service for you. You will meet like-minded people who work on personal development. Ceili Classes are now being held in the Illies Hall on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. Beginners welcome.
As the new season of the GAA begins all members are reminded to renew their membership through the club treasurer or secretary.
After Donegal's historic victory in the National League last year tickets for championship games will be in great demand so when tickets are being allocated, fully paid up members will have priority. The monthly meeting of club officials will take place in the clubhouse in the Scarvey next Tuesday 29th at 8.30 p.m. The Bord na nOg meeting will take place at 7.30 p.m. on the same evening. Everyone is asked to made a special effort to attend.
Coaching for the U-8 begins again in Crana Collage on the 18th January at 7 O Clock. Anyone interested in helping should contact the U-8 head coaches Chris Walsh on 0860515438 or Finn Hegarty on 0862058949. All help is welcome.
Indoor hurling training for 6 - 10 year olds will be held in the gym at Crana college on Sundays at 11 a.m.
