The Christmas Lights' Committee would like to thank the best helpers Santa has ever had this year. There was a small hitch
to the lights on the huge tree in the Market Square and Angelo Eccles and Kevin Breslin saved the day by working all day Sunday to make the lights work. Well done. Also well done to all the other volunteers who helped make the occasion a very special one. A special mention to Angela Tourish, of i.C.A.R.E. who switched on the lights, the Gateway Singers, who were brilliant, the Buncrana Accordion Band, the Fire Brigade who delivered Santa safely to the Market Square, John Gill, the Snowman and to the shopkeepers who donated so generously.
The Gateway Singers will present a special Celebration of Christmas 2007 in St. Mary's Oratory this Sunday at 8 p.m. They will sing Christmas songs and carols. This promises to be a great night for all the family.
Today in SuperValu the Transition Year students from Scoil Mhuire will hold a Trade Fair. The students have been involved in market research, advertising and finances of running a business and have to think of a product or service to sell to the public. They have produced items such as T-shirts, personalised bags, jewellery, etc. They will be selling the produces and services from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. There are five different groups in all and they are in the competition for the best idea. The final of the competition will be held in Sligo. Please support.
The North West golf club will be holding its annual Christmas Bingo on the next three Sundays at 7 p.m. All welcome, a good night of fun guaranteed for all the family.
