Buncrana and West Inishowen History and Heritage group present their fourth public presentation on Tuesday, 24th March at 8 p.m.in Buncrana Library.
The theme is 'The Churches of Liam McCormack' whose design of Burt Chapel is his most famous work. This presentation will be given by Liam McLaughlin who has accumulated a lot of interesting information about the architect's work. If anyone would lik

Tomorrow - Indoor Market/Car Boot Sale - stalls 10 euro each - open to stall holders from 9:30 a.m. - open to public from 10:30 a.m. This coming Sunday there will be a Sunday Dance - MidNight Sun - 3 piece live band - doors open at 9 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
An Auction and Slave Auction will be held in the Laurentic bar tomorrow at 9 p.m. Slaves are wanted. A dance will also be held in the Laurentic bar on Saturday, 11th April with music by Martin Boyle. Admission is 10 euro and the doors open at 11 p.m. All proceeds from both events go to the aid of Africa Direct.
Inishowen Development Partnership/Inishowen Rural Transport is providing two new services from Monday 9th. A bus will leave Inishowen at 6 a.m. and arrive in Letterkenny in time to connect to buses departing to Dublin at 7 a.m. There will be a return trip from Letterkenny at approximately 9 p.m. on Monday and Friday evenings. The Alzheimer's Society, Donegal Branch is organising a sponsored walk/run, North West 10k on Sunday, 3rd May in Letterkenny. The money raised through the 10K will be used entirely within Donegal. The Donegal branch provides 75,000 hours per year of home respite and day care, helping some of the families of Alzheimer sufferers in Donegal. Buncrana G.A.A. Senior football training continues with outdoor sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.15 p.m. sharp. Meanwhile indoor circuit training for everyone continues in the Youth Club, Castle Avenue every Saturday, at 6pm

Buncrana GAA Club offers "Fun Do" sessions for 6 to 8 year-olds in Crana College Gym every Friday night starting at 7 p.m. and lasting for an hour. "Fun Do" is a system of coaching, developed by the GAA which focuses more on child development than on GAA skills as such. There is also a similar session in the same venue, for 4 to 6 year olds every Saturday morning from 11 to 11.45 a.m. Everyone is welcome to these sessions and parents are encouraged to stay and become involved.
The GAA lotto draws are held every Tuesday night in O'Flaherty's Bar, Main Street In the draw for 10,000 euro on Tuesday, 10th March. The numbers were 5, 10, 13, 23 - no winners.
