On Sunday 28th October the Buncrana Arts Festival Group is organising a Halloween Carnival Parade in Buncrana. The parade will go through the Main Street and end up in the Lidl Car Park where there will be live music and entertainment throughout the night. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and everyone is urged to dress up in costume as there will be spot prizes for the best costumes in various categories. To round up the evening there will be a charity event in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel with Purple Hill and the Passion Fruit Club.
The Buncrana Women's Group will meet in the Lake of Shadows Hotel next Monday, 22nd at 8.30 p.m. Annual membership is due and is payable on the night.

The AGM of the Inishowen Summer Gathering will be held in the Wesley hall, Carndonagh on Wednesday, 7th November from 7 - 9 p.m. At the meeting a new committee will be elected to organise next year's Summer Gathering. The Fahan Community Council is looking for volunteers to research the local history of the area. This research will include the 6th century monastic settlement to the last train that ran through the village. The group hope to put together the information and a website about the village. The Irish Wheelchair Association is seeking volunteers to participate in their annual walk next Easter 19th - 29th March, 2008 The walk will include places like the Grand Canyon, the Indian Trail, you will meet the Indians on their reservation, explore the Painted Desert, trek through the Kaibab National Forest, Route 66, Hoover Dam and the deserts of Las Vegas.
