Blessing of the graves this Sunday

The graveyard will be cut and strimmed this week, it is advisable to cover your grave to prevent cuttings blowing on to it, extra help would be appreciated.
Blessing of the Cemetery will take place this Sunday 6th July at 3pm. Visitors will be given an opportunity to make a donation towards the upkeep of the Cemetery. Collection boxes will be at the entrances.

are still some graves with no markings; your help in this matter would be appreciated tel. 9374104.

For teens there will be a week of fun and entertainment with the Exodus Youth Team in the new Greenbank Hall at Quigley's Point from tomorrow Saturday 5th July for one week. Events will include cinema, 10 pin bowling, beach, music and barbecue. The week begins with 'Strong Words' (a group of body builders) on Saturday 5th July at 7pm at Greenbank Hall. All teens are very welcome.

Care of the Aged All Senior Citizens in the Carn parish are invited to the Strand Hotel this Sunday 6th July at 6pm. Don't wait for an invite just let us know you are coming and if you need transport ring 9374291 of 9374382. The committee would like to thank G&S and Supervalu for allowing us to sell tickets for the hamper which will be raffled at the party.

Inishowen Romanian fund. George Faulkner memorial cup Grand cycle on Sunday 6th July 2008 at 10a.m. From Callaghan's bar, Quigley's Point. Route 1. Is 46km, Route 2. Many thanks to everyone who bought tickets for the dance in the Malin Hotel in aid of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A great night had by all. Total amount raised was 9216.62

Ballyliffin Golf Club would like to acknowledge and thank staff, members & volunteers from neighbouring clubs who helped make the Irish Seniors Open a successful event. Thanks to our suppliers & sponsors who helped the club with the financial burden of hosting the event. Maire Mullan, Juvenile Girls Convenor was overwhelmed by the response from parents and members who kindly volunteered to raise funds for the Juvenile Academy by selling tea & coffee during the recent Irish Seniors Open Tournament and would like to sincerely thank everyone for their help and support. The venture was a resounding success and raised 1397.43 euro.

GAA The winning numbers in the club mini-lotto were 24, 18, 3, 6 and 13. There was no jackpot winner. The 75 Euro went to Patrick McLaughlin, St. Joseph's, Gleneely. 30 Euro to Kevin McLaughlin, Gleneely P.O. 15 Euro to Ciara McLaughlin, Aught, Ture.
