AGM Inishowen Tourism Cooperative will take place on Wednesday 25th June at 8.30pm in Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa.

Carndonagh Active Retirement Association are running a bus to Drogheda on Thursday 19th June. The cost is 35 euro and includes lunch in the Monesterboyce Inn, addmision to The Battle of the Boyne Heritage Site and the bus. There will also be time f

Inishowen Development Partnership are currently taking names from women interested in doing the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) training programme which will commence in September 2008. This programme is suitable for any woman who wants to develop her skills and knowledge of computers. The programme will run for 32 weeks and will involve a commitment of 1 day a week for 2 hours. Each programme will have a minimum of 13 participants and will be held in a number of locations in the Peninsula, subject to demand. This course is completely free and due to the limited number of places available, selection for participation on this course will be by application form only. Congratulations to the pupils and staff of St. Patrick's Girls' school who received awards in 3 nationwide competitions recently – a Discover Primary Science award, a commendation in the "Moladh An Cheoil" competition and an award for "Inspired Learning" in the Pushkin project.
Blowing in the wind exhibition will be open to the public next Thursday 12th June between 6.30 –7.30pm. In St. Patrick's Girls' School. This cross-curricular exhibition, displaying art work creative writing and SESE projects etc. is the culmination of a ear long project involving the whole school. All welcome to view exhibition and talk to pupils about their work.
Dance in aid of Alan Doherty Fund will take place on Saturday 12th July in Malin Hotel. Music by Inishowen Smokey and the Bandits. Tickets 5 euro or pay at the door. Raffle and spot prizes on the night. Please support this worthy cause.

Alzheimer's Good as New (in memory of Agnes McLaughlin, Glentogher) raised the amazing sum of 6265 euro and £60 this has been given to the Donegal Alzheimer's society. Thanks is extended to family and friends who helped in the shop, to all who donated and to those customers who bought the goods. Your support was greatly appreciated.

Heritage Tour: Inishowen Tourism are organising a trip of the Peninsulas' attractions and historical areas on the 28th June leaving at 9.30am outside the Tourist Office, at the Diamond, Carndonagh and returning around 5pm. The fee for this outing is 25 euro, which includes refreshments and lunch. Dessie McCallion is our tour guide. To book a seat or for further information tel 93 74933.

Anniversary Mass tonight Friday 13th June at 8pm for Margaret Doherty, Tiernaleague, Saturday 14th June at 7pm for Rose Murphy and Sunday 15th June for 9am for Annie and William Doherty, Collon. Parish Savings Cheques are now beyond the due date. If not already cashed they will need to be re-validated by Fr. Farrelly. At the end of June the savings account will be closed and any cheques not cashed will have to be returned and a new one reissued from the parish current account.
Blessing of the Cemetery will take place on Sunday 6th July at 3pm

Mini Marathon -Tanya McDaid would like to express her thanks to everyone who sponsored her in the Dublin Mini Marathon , It was an amazing experience with over 40,500 women taking part.
