Dillon Moran from Ballymagroarty, winner of the 0-9 months category and the overall winner of the Derry Journal Baby and Toddler 2013.

Four-month-old Dillon Moran has been crowned the Derry Journal Baby and Toddler of the Year.

The tiny tot, from Ballymagroarty, is the first son of proud parents Lisa and Bobby Moran.

Speaking to the ‘Journal’ yesterday, Lisa said, “We really are over the moon! I had my colleagues in Derry City Council and friends and family tortured to vote, my Daddy even had everyone in his work, Apex Housing, tortured too but baby Dillon is well worth it - that’s what everyone said when we asked for votes!”

Dillon was born on 14th October 2012 at 8.56pm weighing 8lb 6oz and has brought his mummy and daddy much joy.

Now the family of three are looking forward to using their prize, “We cannot wait for a wee family break as we haven’t been away since our honeymoon.”

The winner won a family break to Castle Dargan hotel in Sligo, a trophy and a canvas of the winning photo. All four category winners also won a £75 giftcard for Foyleside Shopping Centre.
