The Doc - A Celtic away win at last

I don’t know if Celtic boss, Neil Lennon was playing mind games when he said that Aiden McGeady was Spartak Moscow’s biggest threat before the ‘Hoops’ recent Champions League encounter in the Russian capital.

Personally I was never a big fan of McGeady’s and, as it turned out, he had a very poor game and Celtic’s victory was the best of the week in European football.

Spartak were poor but take nothing away from Celtic who thoroughly deserved their win.

This win leaves Celtic on four points from their first two games, a position they have rarely experienced in any of their various European sojourns.

But before anyone gets carried away, two games with Barcelona (back to back) are up next.

The report card reads ‘doing better than expected but it’s a long way yet to end of term’.
