Culdaff Sports Day on Sunday
Culdaff Sports Day will take place this Sunday, 5th August beginning at 2.30pm. This is always guaranteed to be a great day out for the family with loads of kids and adult races and side shows galore. Bouncing castles, toy hammer fight, mouse racing, penalty kicks, golf chip and putt, potato gathering and much more. Teas and sandwiches will be available in the clubhouse and all support appreciated.
Sympathy from all in the parish go to the Connor family, Larahirl on the unexpected death of John Connor in Galway Hospital. A big gentle man John, is survived by his wife Nancy, and children John, Maureen, Anne, James, Rita, Teresa, Philomena, Michael, Patrick and Eileen and their spouses, grandchildren and wider family circle. May he rest in peace.
Sympathy is also extended to the family of Daniel Doherty, Magherard, who died after a short illness. He is survived by his wife Bridie, sons Daniel and John Anthony and all those near and dear to him. May he rest in peace
Bocan Parish Good As New Shop will be opening again in mid August for Bocan Church Funds. If you have any unwanted clothes/bric-a brac or furniture then please save them for the shop and if you need them collected it will be arranged.

There was no winner of the Gleneely Colts Lotto jackpot last week. Numbers drawn were 8-10-13-16. Next week’s jackpot is now 7,900 euro. Twenty euro winners were Akbar Jafari. Carndonagh Community Market
Is on every Saturday at the Colgan hall Carndonagh from 12 – 3pm.We have a variety of stalls selling local,homemade and handcrafted produce –locally produced food to unique Inishowen handcrafted goods. We also have live music, hot food, and a warm welcome ! Pop in for a chart & a cuppa. We are always keen to welcome new stallholders , if you are interested you can contact us through our website www.carnmarket.com or chat to any of the current stallholders.
Teas will be served in Malin Presbyterian Church Hall each Saturday in August from 2.30pm until 5pm. Visitors will be welcome to look around the church and graveyard and to read about the history of the church. All welcome.
The good as new shop at unit 3, Business Park, Carndonagh is currently open and all proceeds are in aid of Parish Funds for Donagh and Culdaff Church of Ireland. All donations and voluntary help are most welcome.
The good as new shop in G & S Carndonagh has all proceeds going to Carn Hospitals Patient Comfort fund. All donations of clothes etc gratefully accepted.

Inishowen Methodist Churches are holding a cake sale and serving afternoon teas in the Methodist hall, Moville on Monday 6th August at 3pm. Everyone welcome.
The Irish Wheelchair association would like to thank all who supported the recent church gate collection which yielded 388.69 euro.
The St Vincent de Paul plans to open a charity shop at the beginning of August at the old co-op, Moville as a means of supporting the local conferences in the Culdaff, Ballinacrea, Moville, Drung & Iskaheen areas.All donations of good quality clothes, furniture, bric-a-brac, books, as well as clothes for recycling will be gratefully received.Anyon wishing to donate items over the coming weeks can contact the following number for the Culdaff area 086-2441661
