Derry doodlers urged to submit some scribbles

Imaginative individuals across Derry are being urged to create some inspired illustrations for a national doodle fundraising day next month – and write a headline of their own for a popular stationery brand.

Dodo Pad is encouraging people to follow in the footsteps of a host of celebrities including Rolf Harris, Caroline Quentin, Gok Wan and Jo Brand – to name but a few - by submitting a scribble for National Doodle Day on February 8, which aims to raise thousands of pounds for Epilepsy Action.

With prizes for under and over 16’s, not only will the doodles be submitted to an overall national competition, but they will also stand a chance of being chosen to feature in the Dodo Pad and Acad-Pad diaries, used by up to 50,000 people each year. Dodo Pad’s managing director Rebecca Jay said the weirdest and most wonderful doodles would be welcomed, as long as they were accompanied with a small donation for Epilepsy Action in the process.

To full details of how to enter, doodlers can visit www.dodopad.com for more information, where an application form can be downloaded.
