Get fit with ‘Young at Heart’

The Neighbourhood Health Improvement Project (NHIP) begins its ‘Young at Heart’ programme on Monday, 10 September at 10am in Roe Valley Leisure Centre (RVLC).

The programme involves physical activity and crafts classes which are aimed at enhancing well-being for persons aged 50+.

Eimear Teague Health Development Officer, said: “This programme is based on the success of last year’s programme – working in partnership with the Stronger Together project we have now included an optional crafts aspect which will be held in Keady Way Community house on a Friday morning at 11am.”

Physical classes are being facilitated by Nicola Taylor Active Communities coach who is sure to pit all attendees through their paces. Classes are designed for all levels of fitness and refreshments will be provided afterwards.

“The programme is open to everyone so come along and join in the fun and get fit at the same time,” added Ms Teague.

To participate in all aspects of the programme will cost you only £2.00 per session.

For more information contact Eimear at RVLC on 777 64009.
