Making St Brigid’s crosses in Burt

The three different ways to make St. Brigid 's crosses.

The three different ways to make St. Brigid 's crosses.

The Feast of St Brigid will be celebrated this week with the making of St Brigid’s crosses in Burt GAA clubhouse onThursday night, beginning at 7.15pm.

The all important tradition of honouring Our Lady of the Gael by coming together and making the crosses will be a night for meeting old and new friends and for some learning the art of cross making. There’ll also be a cuppa and a wee bun or two and music and song provided by Neil Crossan.

The organizers would welcome a donation of food and a small donation at the door to cover costs. Please remember, if possible, to bring rushes, string/tape and scissors.

Contact kathleen on 0749368373 for more information and all are welcome.
