A public appeal for old photographs of Rosemount and its surrounding area has been issued by Rosemount Resource Centre for use in a special new project.

Any photographs relating to community events, picnics, Brooke Park or its RAF base during the war, sporting events, presentations and daily life in Rosemount in years gone by are being sought for a project collecting memories of Rosemount and its district. Organisers are hoping to build a vivid archive which will, in turn, help raise money for pensioners in the area.

Of particular interest are any memories and photographs of families who may have lived in Rosemount in the early part of the 20th Century and who may have relocated to the Waterside area of the city. All materials will be looked after and returned safely.

If you have anything you wish to share for this special archive project, please contact Dalton Kehoe at Rosemount Resource Centre on: 71. 282829.
