Novelty Community Olympics

A Community Novelty Olympics event in aid of The Motor Neurone Association will be held in Carrigans next Saturday, 20th October.Teams of 6 - 3 men and 3 women.

There will also be side events for the children. Each team can either get a sponsor card or pay 30 euro per team. Contact Margaret on 087 7517100. Promises to be a great day’s craic so enter a team and challenge another team to have a fun filled day. Events will include Washing Machine challenge, Sponge throw, Basketball shoot, Bull’s-eye, Clothes line challenge, Throw the Welly, Penalty shoot out, slow cycle and many many more.

Essential Computing: Basic Computer skills training accredited at FETAC Level 2 ongoing at the Resource Centre. To book a place, or for more information, please contact Resource Centre Office on

The next whist drive will be on Monday, 22nd October at 8pm in St Johnston & Carrigans FRC, 5 euro per person. A light supper will 
be served.

A charity Whist Drive is held in Shanty Bar, Greencastle, every Thursday night at 8pm. Everyone welcome. Contact 086 60764367 for more details.
A fundraising coffee morning and cake sale will take place next Friday, 26th October in St Johnston & Carrigans Family Resource Centre from 10am to 1pm. All welcome so please come along and support your local community.

Craft Group meets every Wednesday night from 8-10 pm in the Resource Centre. Come along to learn something new or just do your own thing. There’s always a cup of tea and a bit of craic!
