Walk and run for Donegal Hospice

A 5K run and walk will take place this Sunday starting at Mary Deeney’s. Registration at 10.30 and the run and walk starts at 11am. 10 euro entry for walkers and 5 euro for walkers. All procedds to the Donegal Hospice so a good turnout would be much appreciated.

Mia’s fun fitness takes place in Quigley’s Point community centre every Monday night with aerobics from 6.30 p.m.- 7.30p.m. and circuits from 7.30 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. Peopl with all fitness levels are welcome to come along.

Keeping in mind that this month is Breast Cancer Awareness month, Fun Fitness along with Zumba Aine will be hosting their annual ‘Fight Like A Girl’ Fitness day on Sunday, 28th October at 3pm in St Mary’s Hall Muff. This is a great Family orientated event which consists of a packed fun filled hour of Aerobics, Zumba and Boxercise. The cost is 5 euro per adult and 3 euro per child. All money raised on the day will be donated to Breast Cancer charities. Refreshments will be served on the day and don’t forget to wear you Pinkest outfit to support this cause. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Quigley’s Point community centre Parent/Guardian and Toddlers is a community group for all mammies, daddies, grandparents and carers of young children 5 years and under. This is a great place to have a cuppa and socialise, and kids will have great fun and make some good friends. The group meets on Thursdays from 10.30 a.m. - 12 noon in the centre. Everyone welcome.

In the Drung Parish draw last week 1st prize of 200 euro went to Ann Marie Mc Elmoyle, promoter Phonsie Logue, 2nd - 100 euro.

Sally Shortt, promoter Neil Havlin, and 3rd 50 euro - Martin Rea, promoter Patricia Rea.

There was no jackpot winner last week in the Quigley’s Point community centre mini lotto draw. The winning numbers were 8,9,12, and 13, and the four 15 euro winners were K Kelly, Moville P.O. Nicola Doherty, Redcastle, Patrick Mc Colgan, Carrickmaquigley, and Seamus McGranaghan, Moville. The jackpot tonight will be 4,250 euro.

Fun fitness classes are continuing with Monday night in Quigleys Point Community Centre, and Wednesday in QPS FC Clubhouse. Times of classes on both nights are 6.30pm Aerobics and 7.30pm Circuits. This is a great social occasion as well as a great way to keep the winter blues (and pounds) away.
