Five due in court for Twelfth incident

Five people from Limavady are expected to appear in court after being charged with several offences arising from an incident at the Twelfth of July celebrations in Coleraine.
Two of the five are men who have been charged with the offences of disorderly behaviour and resisting arrest while two juveniles from Limavady have been charged with offence of disorderly behaviour.

A fifth person, a juvenile from Limavady, is expected to appear at North Antrim Youth Court on Wednesday, July 23, charged with the offences of disorderly behaviour, obstruction and with attempted escape from lawful custody. The charges also arise from an incident that occurred in Coleraine on Saturday, July 12.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.”
