A teenager arrested in connection with an assault on three youths in Ballykelly at the weekend has been released
The youths were reportedly attacked by a group of males in the vicinity of a local hotel on Main Street on Saturday night at around 10.45pm.

One of the youths, a 16-year-old, was taken to hospital for treatment.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Anyone who was in the area from 10.30pm and could help identify those involved is asked to contact Limavady station on 0845 600 8000.

“Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously through the Crimestoppers charity on 08000 555 111.”

The man arrested has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Limavady SDLP Colr. Michael Carten condemned the attack.

He said: “This is terrible news. We certainly don’t want this sort of thing in Ballykelly. Anyone with information should pass it onto the police.”
