Masked man had knife

Detectives are appealing for information after two masked men forced their way into a house on Peters Road in Dungiven on Saturday.
“It is understood the owner heard a noise shortly after 10pm and was confronted by the men at the back door,” said a spokeswoman.

“The house was searched however at this stage it is not believed anything was taken. It is understood one of the men was carrying a knife.”

Police want anyone who saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area to call them at 0845 600 8000, or contact the ‘Crimestoppers’ charity anonymously on freephone 0800 555 111.
