Can you help Irish Cancer Society on Daffodil Day?

The Daffodil Day in aid of the Irish Cancer Society will take place on Friday 7th March.
The local organisers in Gleneely are appealing for volunteers to help sell daffodils for an hour or two on the day. They are also looking for people to donate fresh daffodils. Your support would be much appreciated.
Forty five card drive winners in
Gleneely last week were Sheamus McCormick, Greencastle; Eddie Duffy, Moneydarragh, Gleneely; Paul McElhinney, Moneydarragh and Brian Diver, Crana View, Buncrana.
A charity 25 card drive will be held in Malin GAA Centre tomorrow night beginning at 8.30 p.m. There will be rounds playing to time, £10 per round including supper with proceeds going to Bothair to buy animals for poor African families. Prizes will include a hamper and easter eggs.
Kick boxing for adults will be starting at the Gym, Mart Road, Carn on Mondays at 8.30 p.m. For more details phone 0749373373.

Pre Marriage Courses will be available in the Pastoral Centre, Cardonagh on the following dates: 22nd, 23rd February and 28th; 29th March 2008 and 25th and 26th April, 2008; 30th and 31st May. Courses are from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday nights and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Saturday. Applications forms available from the Pastoral Centre on 9374103 between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.

Umbra clothes collection - Any unwanted clothes will be collected from the Chapel Car Park tomorrow at 12 noon.

Draw winners Caroline Catterson, Parochial House, Bocan; Eamon Donaghy, Effishmore; Phyllis Lloyd, Gleneely. Snowball for tonight is 60 euro for 84 or less.
The Parents Committee at St Nicholas pre-school for children with special needs would like to thank all those who supported their recent church gate collection and the Christmas Day Swim at Lisfannon.
Parish Council Voting papers which have been delivered to local homes recently should be placed in the boxes provided in the Church this and next week.
Five Tables took part in the quiz last week in the Orchard Bar in aid of Gleneely Colts FC and joint winners were formula one led by Martin Mooney and Haven't A Clue led by Breege Kearney. Bar questions were answered by Celia McLaughlin and the raffle winners were Herbert and Eddie McNamee (twice). 64 euro was raised for the club and thanks to all who attended. To Dermot O'Brien, Culdaff who was quiz master and to Darren for the use of the Orchard bar and sponsoring the prizes.
Gleneely Colts Football Club Development Draw will be held at Easter 2008. First prizes is 15,000; 2nd prize is 5,000 euro; 3rd prize is 3,000 euro plus nine other cash prizes. Two at 1,000 each; two at 500 euro each and five at 200 euro each. Tickets are 100 euro each and available from Committee members and players. Your support for this venture would be greatly appreciated.
Modern and Old time dancing classes take place in the Malin Hotel on Wednesday nights from 8.30 p.m. until 10.30 p.m. Bring a partner along to come and join in the fun.
A shop in the aid of the destitute in India has opened in Bridge Street, Carndonagh. It is located in the Basement next door to the Westley Hall. Any clothes, toys, books or household goods would be greatly appreciated. For further information please contact Catherine White 09866076473.
Yoga classes takes place in Bocan every Wednesday with children's yoga at 4 p.m. and adults at 7 p.m. More attendance is required at both session if the classes are to continue. All are most welcome.
The numbers drawn in the Gleneely FC Lotto on the 17th, 2008 were 8:9:16:22. There was no jackpot winner and the 20 euro winners were James McCallion, Drumley, Gleneely; John Noel McLaughlin, Garronreagh, Gleneely; Marie McLaughlin, Carrick House, Gleneely; John E. Duffy, 61 Convent Road, Cardonagh and Brendan McKinley, Ballymena, Culkeeny. The jackpot is now 2,850 euro and the draw will take place in the Orchard Bar on Sunday night at 10 p.m.
Lotto numbers drawn for the Culdaff FC were 2:4:9:11:12 and 15. There was no jackpot winner and the 20 euro winners were Ruth and Philomena O'Brien, Culdaff; Caoimhe Mills, Culdaff and Liam McKinney, Bootagh. The jackpot is now 2,900 euro. This weeks sellers are Damien McFeely and Patrick McLaughlin and the draw takes place in the Culdaff Arms on Sunday night.
The Club is introducing a new year lotto with a special discount price of 80 euro per year. New envelopes can be entered in the draw any time and will last for a year.
