Fundraising huge success

The McKinney family wish to thank all those who participated in the recent sponsored walk, those who raised money donated money and those who helped on the day.
The amount raised was 23,000 euro and cheques will be presented to the friends of St. Luke's Hospital and Letterkenny Oncology Ward, Day Care Services Unit in McGrory's, Culdaff next Thursday 3rd July at 8 p.m. all those who helped in any way to mak
e this event such a huge success are very welcome.

The annual Gleneely sports will take place on Sunday, 27th July. All the usual attractions this promises to be a great day of fun and entertainment for all ages. The will be a social evening in Bocan Hall on Friday, 11th July in aid of the defibrilator. Dancing from 9 p.m. to 12.30. Admission including supper is 5 euro.

The Pioneer Association is organising a bus to Knock on Sunday, 20th July leaving Moville at 7 a.m. via Gleneely, Carndonagh and Buncrana. Fare is 50 euro which includes 2 meals. For more information phone Tommy on 9382709.

A ceili mor will be held in Bocan Hall on Friday, 25th July with music by Martin Duggan. Admission including supper is 5 euro.

Inishowen Agricultural Society 96th Annual Show will take place on Saturday 19th July in the Show grounds at Tulnaree, Carndonagh. Entries can be made in the following classes: horses, donkeys, cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, butter, eggs, honey, fruit, vegetables, flowers, pot plants, cakes, scones, home industries and children's pet show. The numbers drawn in the Gleneely FC last week were 10:11:16:23. Under ten fun football continues at Caratra Park on Fridays at 5 p.m. with the session ending at 6 p.m. All children to be collected on time and the fee for session is two euro. Boys and girls must be over six years of age and are encouraged to wear shin pads and boots if possible.

Beach music and barbecue. The week begins with strong words.A group of body builders on Saturday, 5th July at 7 p.m. at Greenbank Hall. All teens are very welcome.
