Members of the Dolphin Dance School in Culdaff have won a whopping 500 trophies in the space of nine months since September. The talented group have competed in national championships all around the country including Dublin, Cork, Dundalk and Bundoran. They also picked up prestigious accolade at one day events in Belfast where students as young as five years took first place prizes. Dance teacher Wendy MacBean said it had been a team effort.

Inishowen Agricultural Society 96th Annual Show will take place on Saturday, 19th July in the Show Grounds at Tulnaree, Carndonagh commencing at 10 a.m. There will be a week of fun and entertainment for teens with the Exodus Youth Team in the New Greenbank Hall at Quigleys Point starting tomorrow and will include cinema, 10 pin bowling, beach music and barbecue. The weeks begins with strong words (a group of body builders) tomorrow 5th July at 7 p.m. at Greenbank Hall. All teens are very welcome.

Under ten fun football continues at Caratra park on Fridays at 5 p.m. with the session ending at 6 p.m. All children to be collected on time and fee for the session is two euro. Boys and girls must be over six years of age and are encouraged to wear shin pads and boots if possible.

The pretty wedding took place recently in St. Mary's Church,Bocan, Culdaff of Josephine Doherty, daughter of Kathleen and the late Denis Doherty, Leiter, Culdaff to Mark Gill, son of Kathleen and Jimmy Gill, Minahay, Clonmany. The bride, who wore a Marie Lee sequined strapless ivory dress was given away by her brother, Seamus Doherty and attended by her sisters, Patricia McLaughlin as Matron of honour and Philomena Doherty and Margaret Raymond as bridesmaids. Bestman was James Gill, brother of the groom and the groomsmen were Daniel McCole nephew of the groom and Neil McEleney friend of the groom. The flowergirls were Lauren Gill and Niamh Doherty, nieces of the bride and groom and the page boys were Oran Raymond and Lee McCauley, nephews of the bride and groom.
Fr Brady P.P. Malin and Fr Devlin C.C. Clonmany officiated at the ceremony and the Lessons were read by Caroline McCauley and Annmarie Gill, sisters of the groom. The prayers of the faithful were read by Elizabeth Bredin Doherty, sister in law of the bride and Patricia McLaughlin, sister of the bride. and the offertory gifts were presented by the mothers of the bride and groom, Kathleen Doherty and Kathleen Gill. The wedding reception was held in the Ballyliffin Hotel and the happy couple spent their honeymoon in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.
