Hallowe'en fancy dress parties

Scoil Mhuire Gleneely Parents committee are holding a fancy dress disco in Bocan Hall next Tuesday 30th October from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the under 12s and 9.15 to 11 p.m. for under 16s. Admission is 5 euro and there will be prizes for the best dressed.

Forty five card drive winners in Gleneely last week were Neil McCullion, Kindroyhead, Gerard Doherty, Ourt, Hannah McLaughlin, Gemstone Park, Gleneely and Jim Doherty, Terryrone Moville. Cards continue every Tuesday night at 8.30 p.m. sharp.

owen Women's Information Network are hosting a coffee morning, Carndonagh from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. All proceeds in aid of people in need.

Inishowen Disability Action Group and the Irish Wheelchair Association are urgently looking for volunteers to help out at Milltown House, Carndonagh for a few hours on Mondays. You do not need to be a swimmer, just willing and able volunteers are also needed to act as bus assistants, training will be provided. The annual general meeting of the Inishowen Summer Gathering will be held in the Wisley hall, Carndonagh on Wednesday, 7th November from 7 to
9 p.m. At the meeting a new committee will be elected to organise next year's Summer Gathering. Refreshments will be served and a video of this Summer's gathering in Inch will be shown.
Culdaff and Donagh Church of Ireland are currently running a good as new shop behind Mae's in Carndonagh during September and October. Donations of good clean clothes and bric a brac will be greatly appreciated. Lots of good bargains on offer.
Halloween fancy dress party in the Orchard Bar, Gleneely on Sunday night the 28th October. Prizes for the best dressed on the night. See you all there.

Whist is played every Friday at 8.45 p.m. sharp in Bocan Hall. Come along for a great nights craic.

Umbra clothes collection will take place next Wednesday 31st October at 12 noon in the Chapel Car Park, Bocan from mid October 2007.
The numbers drawn in the Gleneely FC Lotto last week were 2:16:13:16. There was no jackpot winner. The 20 euro winners were Shaun Donaghy, Cockhill, Park, Buncrana; Lorna Eilis, Neil Matthew, Jack Redford, Culdaff; Liam Doherty, Maghard, Carndonagh; Joe McCauley, Moneydarragh; Barney Lafferty, Moneydarragh. The jackpot is now 2,000 euro and the draw will take place in Carricks Bar on sunday night at 10 p.m.
Culdaff FC - There was no jackpot winner and the 20 euro winners were Sinead Simpson, Antrim; Tish McDaid, Bunn, Glengad; Cathal Byrne, Port House, Bunagee, Culdaff. The jackpot is now 2,2000 euro. This week's sellers are Patrick McFeely and Francis Devlin and the draw takes place in Caratra Bar on Sunday night at 10 p.m.
The first team are away to Cranford United in the Ulster Cup this Sunday weekend with players to report at 12 noon to travel. They lost 0-1 to Redcastle last weekend but showed improved performance. The reserves are away to Moville this weekend.
The annual General Meeting of the Club will take place place on Tuesday 30th October, in the Club House at 9 p.m. All members are asked to attend and new members especially welcome. Children's yoga for boys and girls aged 8 years and upwards takes place every Wednesday in Bocan Hall from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Call Denise to register on 0862375619. Adult yoga continues on Wednesday at 7 p.m. with beginners and drop ins all welcome. Below the belt weigh in work out continues every Tuesday at the Gym Mart Road, Carn at 8.30 p.m. Aerobics same day, same place at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.
Bocan Community Defibrillator group wish to offer a sincere thank you to Georgina Houton, her family, the Culdaff Water Sports Committee for their very generous gift to the Group of 1,000 euro to aid the group in the purchase of a defibrillator unit. The next meeting of the group will be held in Bocan Hall on Tuesday, 13th November at 8.30 p.m. We would also like to thank the parish community and others for their generous donations regarding the defibrillator. If there are any outstanding envelopes they can be handed in at the Church or at McGuinness' Shop.
Thanks to everybody who attended the presentation from St. John's Catholic School for children with disabilities in Essex.
Gleneely Colts FC are away to Whitestand United in the Ulster Cup this weekend. While the reserves are away to Greencastle Reserves last week the Colts defeated Glengad united 2-0 with goals from Barry Diver and Stephen McLaughlin. The residents drew 2-2 away to Quigleys Point Swifts with goals from Tony Cooney and John Doherty. Training takes place for all players on Tuesdays at 7.30 p.m. in Malin. The Club is launching a fund raising draw this weekend with a top prize of 15,000 euro plus numerous other prizes. Tickets are 100 euro each with an early bird special due in early January and the draw itself taking place at Easter 2008. Your support for this venture would be greatly appreciated. Tickets will be available from Committee members and players this weekend.
