The Donegal Corncrakes field worker Sandy Alcorn is appealing to the public to report the location of this endangered species.
Sandy will be assisted this year by Daniel Moloney who will work mainly in Inishowen and Fanad. The field workers are relying on local people to help them locate the birds. Anybody who hears a corncrake is encouraged to ring the Corncrake Hotline on

The annual Malin raft race will take place on Sunday, 3rd August, at Lagg finishing at the slipway. Assembly time is 4 p.m. Entries will be taken on the day. The Derry diocese will be taking two youth groups to Lourdes from 16th to 21st July. The youth group aged 14-15 will have a set programme and the world Youth Day Group aged 18-35 will be involved in the official programme for the WYD experience for young people.
