A trip is being organized for a weekend break in Scotland to visit the Highland Shows and a day trip to Edinburgh City which will take place from the 20th-22nd June per person sharing, and is £180 sterling or 250 euro. Rural transport consultation, the Inishowen Development Partnership is now consulting with the community throughout Inishowen in order to ascertain transport needs in the peninsula and to draw up an effective plan to address those gaps in transport that impact most on the community. This is part of the rural transport programme which is a national programme that supports the provision of public community transport in rural areas. Bocan Community Debfibrillator Group are having a dance in Bocan Hall on Friday 9th May from 9 p.m. to midnight. Music is by Dominic McDaid and Joe McLaughlin. Under ten Football commences at Caratra Park on Friday, this evening at 5 p.m. with the sessions ending at 6 p.m. All children to be collected on time and fee for session is two euro. Boys and girls must be over six years of age and are encouraged to wear shin pads and boots. if possible the Club are introducing a new yearly lotto with a special discount price of eighty euro per year. New envelopes are available from Club members. New envelopes will be for a year.

Inishowen Athletics Club will host the Culdaff 5k run walk and juvenile 1 mile road race today. Friday, 9th May registration is from 6.30 p.m. in the Wee Hall in Culdaff. The cost of entry is 8 euro for the 5k, 5 euro for the mile. The 5 km walk and one mile begin at 7.30 p.m., while the 5 km. run starts at 7.45 p.m. The juvenile 1 mile run is open to all children aged from 11-16 years of age. There are prizes for the first three boys and girls at under 13, under 15 and under 17. Finishers in all events will receive a goody bag and there will be refreshments and prize giving in the Wee Hall at 8.30 p.m.
