All at the Culdaff FC would like to wish Raymond McFeely Bon Voyage, as he heads away to Norway to work.
Inishowen Development Partnership is currently recruiting participants who have previously completed the Teach Programme. The opportunity to complete Fetac Level 4 (Computer Applications) from the comfort of their own homes. It's the next step up fro
m Teach An opportunity to learn more about computers. It will involve learning three packages, Excel, Databases and Power Point and as well as recapping on the skills you have already learned. It's Fetac certified comprising of 3 exams which means you will have recognised qualification at the end of the course will be the same format as before. Training in the home 2½ to 3 hours a week and there can be up to 4 or 6 participants per group. The course will run for 15 weeks beginning in April. A new Community Employment Project is due to commence in the area in April. This project will be based in Culdaff, Gleneely and Carrowmenagh areas. Vacancies exist for General Workers. There was no jackpot winner and the 20 euro winners were Catherine O'Kane, Carrowmenagh; Enda McDaid, Ourt, Gleneely; Patrick Thompson, Meenletterbale; Annie McBride, Priestown, Carn; Hannah McLaughlin, Gleneely. Next week's jackpot is 3,100 euro and the draw will take place in Carrick's Bar on Sunday night at 10p.m. The Gleneely Colts Grand Draw will take place on Friday, 18th April. All tickets and money must be returned by the 12th April monthly meeting.
Horses are now on sale priced at 15 euro for the annual Night at the Races on Sunday, 4th May. Your support would be much appreciated. The monthly meeting will take place in the club house on 12th April at 7 p.m., all are welcome.
Martha Hutchinson, Hillhead, Gleneely, who has been Daffodil Day Organiser for the past 21 years, is now retiring. Martha would like to thank all her dedicated volunteers who have helped her every year come hail, rain or snow. A big thank you to all who bought or gave donations, the shop-keepers who sold daffodils in their shops and to those who allowed sellers outside their premises. Many thanks to those who gave us their fresh daffodils and to all who pulled and bunched them. Unfortunately, we hadn't as many fresh ones this year as Daffodil Day was much earlier this year. Once again many thanks to all who were involved with over the past 21 years. This year we raised 9,725.69 euro, an increase of 200 euro on last year.
Wednesday, 2nd April is the Annual General Meeting of Inishowen Women's Outreach to be held at their offices in Millbrae, Carndonagh at 7p.m.
