The U10 footballers recorded a fine win against Newtown in the northern board finals on Saturday. Playing Newtown in both Section two and four finals in the Buncrana boys won both games. This was a very enjoyable day for players and spectators with some fine football skills on display. A special word of praise must go to the players’ mothers who provided refreshments for all the teams and supporters.

There will be a blitz for this side tomorrow (Saturday) in Malin leaving the pitch at 10 a.m. All parents are encouraged to come along and offer support.

The U14 footballers hosted Dromintee from Armagh in a highly entertaining friendly on Saturday. The lads gave a good account of themselves against a good Orchard county side.

The U14 hurlers booked their place in the Championship final with a fine win over local rivals Burt. The lads put on a fine display winning comfortably by 3-12 to 0-2. They play Ballyshannon in the final.

Congratulations to Daniel Wilson, Stephen Nelson, Michael Farrell, Donal Mac Lochlainn, Jack O’Loughlin, John Campbell who played in Croke Park on Tuesday with the Donegal development panel. The club also had the honour of having Conor Grant as captain of the team. This is a massive boost for hurling development in the club.

The U10 hurlers fielded two teams in the blitz in Burt on Sunday, and this side played nine games, winning eight and drawing just one. This side remains unbeaten this year.

Congratulations to Patrick Wilson who played at half-time in the Ulster hurling final.

Burt

The U12 footballers were denied a place in the Donegal Division One Championship final last Monday evening in Newtown after losing 2-10 to 1-11 to defending champions St Eunan's.

It was the U12s first defeat since the middle of last year. After St Eunan’s took the lead with a goal with five minutes remaining, Burt battled back to create chances and level the game. In the final seconds of the match, Burt hit the underside of the crossbar which was the last action of the game.

Despite the defeat, it was Burt's best performance of the year so far.
