Glen Summer Cup kicks-off tomorrow with Derry Ladies

The Glen Summer Cup and Charity Shield will kick-off tomorrow when the Derry City Ladies get the competition underway with a challenge match against Strabane side, Cappagh Spurs at 7.30 p.m.
The competition is the biggest and most popular nine aside summer competition in the North West and this year there will be weekly mini league coaching sessions as well as eight competitions over the summer period.

The main events are the underage
groups - Under-10s; U12s; U14s U16s and over 40s Charity Shield.

On Tuesday next there will be a one day under-9 blitz consisting of 27 matches.

Fixtures - Saturday, July 4th (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.) Under-10s competition consisting of two groups of four.

Each game will last ten minutes each way with five minutes extra time played if neccesary.

Sunday, July 5th (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.) Under-12 Cup - Two groups of four. Winners will play in the final on Saturday, July 11th at 3 p.m. Each game will last 15 minutes each way.

Tuesday, July 7th (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.) Under-9 Blitz - Two groups of four. Winners wil play in the final at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 12th. Each game will last 15 minutes each way.

Saturday, July 11th (6 p.m - 8 p.m.) Under-14s - Two groups of four. Winners will play in the final on Saturday, July 18th at 2 p.m.

Sunday, July 12th Under-16s Knockout - Four games. Final will be played on Sunday, July 19th. Each game will last 20 minutes each way with five minutes extra time played each way if necessary.

Sunday, July 19th Senior Open competition (knockout) - Final to be organised at a later stage.

Saturday, July 25th - Over 40s Charity Shield.
