Florence Walker claimed her first Lady Captain’s prize in her 36 years as a member of City of Derry Golf Club, the 30 handicapper securing the win after a thrilling break of tie victory during Eileen Moyne’s Lady Captain’s Day held last Friday.

Newtownstewart Ladies

In excess of 160 golfers pitted their skills against a well presented course for Gerarda Fitzpatrick’s Lady Captain’s Day at Newtownstewart and the blazing sunshine was matched by some blazing scores as Gladys Fulton, showing she had lost none of her prowess, went on to win the Captain's Prize for the fourth time with a score of 64 nett.

Competition Secretary, Patricia Devine lost out on count-back while Mandy Coyne had the best gross on the day with an 82 and Violet Spratt took third place on 65.
