Rock Flying Club
John McLaughlin’s Lone Moor Loft enjoyed a superb result on Saturday last when not only did he win the race, but also claimed five positions in the top ten taking 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 10th spots. John, who operates with a small team of pigeons, nev
er fails to secure his fair share of wins every season and this was another excellent result.

In second spot was experienced flyer, Jim McMonagle of Shantallow, with his Van Wanroy pigeons. The Messines Park Loft of Chico and Darren Hamilton, the long distance specialists, took 4th and 7th positions.

In the 9th place, flying into his new location at Beechwood, was Sean McMonagle with his hen ‘Royal Victoria.’

Basketing at the usual time at the Marian Hall today (Friday).

Maiden City RPS

The first Young Bird race of the season took place on Sunday from Navan, some 95 miles to most fanciers and having a great race when taking 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th was the Burndennet Lofts of John McGettigan, a supberb start to his Young Bird programme.

In third spot and well pleased was Club Secretqary, Gerry McLaughlin.

Other results were - 6th, Morrison; 7th, Dunne & Quigley; 8th, J Houston & Son; 9th and 10th, M Concannon.
