All the animals were sitting in their beds in the rescue home.
- I want to get out of here, said Roma. We cats can get out through the cat flap, but we don't want to leave the dogs behind.

The other cats, Cuddles and Fluff, and the dogs, Tammy, Ben and Rex, all agreed.

- We need to make a plan, Rex announc
ed.

- But what sort of plan? Tammy asked.

- I know, said Fluff.

Everyone came closer so nobody could be heard speaking outside.

- Someone distracts the receptionist and then somebody goes into the office, types a letter on the computer saying that a person would like to adopt six animals. We put the letter in an envelope and put it through the letter box. Then some of us will dress up as a woman and ask for the animals to be delivered. Then we are free!

- What a good plan! said Cuddles. But how will we get out of the travelling baskets?

- Don't worry, I've figured out the lock on mine, said Fluff. I can let you all out in the van. But wait, we're not finished yet. First who will distract the receptionist?

- I will, said Ben.

- OK, now who will type the letter?

- I will, cried Roma. I have sharp claws.

- Who will dress up?

- It will have to be all three cats, said Rex. You'll need to be tall so you need a lot of animals.

- Right everybody off to work.

Ben distracted the receptionist by knocking over some tins in the store. As soon as the receptionist left the room, Roma ran and typed the letter as quick as she could. In minutes it was printed and put in the letterbox.

They waited for the receptionist to pick up the letter. That evening Roma, Cuddles and Fluff dressed up as a small woman and walked up to the desk while the receptionist was still reading it.

- How can I help you?

- My name is Orla. A little while ago I dropped in a letter about adopting six animals.

- Oh right. Well we have three cats and three dogs.

- Yes, just what I'm looking for. Could you leave them at my house tomorrow?

- Ok that's fine where do you live?

- In a house beside the park in town. I'll meet you at the park at 3pm, that will probably be easier.

The cats walked out the door, took the suit off and ran in through the cat flap.

- We did it! Fluff shouted. We are free!

Everyone cheered.

Excitement

The morning came quickly and everyone jumped up with excitement.

- It's today, Rex shouted. I can't wait.

Cuddles and Roma left early with some food from the store to take it to the park. They made three trips. Later the receptionist lifted Fluff up and took her into the room named 'Cleaning Animals'. She had to be getting washed for going to the park. After Fluff it was Roma, Rex, Ben, Tammy and finally Cuddles.

The receptionist got the van ready, and then picked up each animal individually and placed them inside in their travelling baskets. It only took five minutes to get there but Fluff had already opened all the baskets. When they arrived at the park, the receptionist opened the back door of the van.
