This week's Friday's Child is Thomas Burke, a sixth form student studying for his 'A' levels at St. Peter's High School in Creggan. Thomas also has an apprenticeship with Derry City Football Club where he is a member of the U21 squad.

How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as very ambitious, charming, likeable motivated, and modest!

Happiest childhood memory?

Going to America to meet my uncle for the first time.

Who was your childhood hero?

Roy Keane.

What was your first job?

Collecting glasses in the Metro.

Favourite book?

Lord of the Rings.

Favourite film?

August Rush and I hate to admit it but I really enjoyed P.S. I love you.

Favourite TV programme?

The Bill and Emmerdale.



Favourite expression?

The straw that broke the camel's back!

Favourite food/drink?

Any Italian food.

Favourite method of relaxation?

Sleeping, I love my bed!

Favourite holiday destination?

Jamaica.



Who would you most like to meet?

I would love to meet Roy Keane.

What makes you happy?

Spending time with my family.

What makes you angry?

When I'm driving and someone cuts in front of me.

What is the human quality you most admire?

Friendship.

What is the human quality you least admire?

People who tell lies.

What was the worst thing to happen you in your life?

My Granny Burke dying.

What is your greatest fear?

Drowning – I can't swim!

What has been the highest point of your life to date?

Signing for Derry City Football Club.

How would you most like to be remembered?

I'd like to be remembered as someone with a sense of humour, who cared about everyone and would be missed.

What is your most treasured possession?

My car.

If you won the lottery, what would you do with it?

I would give some to charity and then I would buy a private island in the sun, nothing too flash!

If you could be granted one wish what would you ask for?

Eternal life.

If you could write your own epitaph, what would it be?

A great box to box player, unfortunately now stuck in one!
