A driver escaped injury in the early hours of Sunday morning when he lost control of his car while trying to evade Gardai.
Garda Sgt. John O’Keeffe confirmed that gardai on patrol at 2.30am in Buncrana noticed the driver of a northern registered car acting suspiciously.

“When they started to approach him, the driver sped off towards Fahan. At Lisfannon, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a field.

“The driver was apprehended and is facing charges.

“It’s lucky no one was killed in this incident,” Sgt O’Keeffe concluded.
