There's a series of sporting events in the Culdaff area in the coming days in memory of Brian Houten.
The Culdaff v’s Gleneely over 40s football match in memory of Brian Houten will be held tomorrow, Saturday, July 4 at 7.30pm in Caratra Park, Culdaff. All money raised on the night will go towards the Local RNLI.
Culdaff Water Sports Fun Weekend in memory of Brian takes place next weekend, July 10-12, all proceeds also to the RNLI.
The action-packed programme for the weekend includes:
Friday, July 10 8pm - Car Treasure Hunt
Saturday, July 11
9am - Fun 45 mile Sponsored cycle starting from and ending in McGrory’s car park, Culdaff’ 11am Inishowen Athletics Club
11am - Inishowen Athletics’ Club 13 mile Run from North Pole, Drumfries to Culdaff
3pm - Duck Race at Culdaff Bridge
Sunday, July 12
1.30pm Bunagee Raft races including Mens, Ladies and Mixed, Junior (under 16s) and Senior Kayak Races plus lots more activities on the day
